The Corvette C8 never came with a manual transmission. MockShift™ changes that.
MockShift™ is a gated manual and sequential shifter kit for the Corvette C8 that lets you row your own gears while keeping the factory dual-clutch transmission.
Our gated shifter kit gives your Corvette C8 Stingray, Grand Sport, E-Ray, and Z06 a true row-your-own manual driving experience with real gate clicks, real gear engagement, and full driver control, all while keeping the factory dual-clutch transmission.
There is no transmission swap, no programming, no tuning, and no modifications to your engine, or transmission computers.
Now you can drive automatic in traffic or switch to a gated manual experience.
Fully reversible.

Not from the factory. The C8 comes only with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. MockShift adds a real gated manual shifter that works with your existing transmission, so you can row your own gears without an engine-out swap.
A synthetic manual is a real gated shifter, with an optional clutch pedal, added to a car that came with a dual-clutch or automatic transmission. You move the lever through the gate and pick your own gears. The car's own transmission carries out the shift. You get the feel of rowing gears without swapping the drivetrain.
MockShift reads the position of the gated shifter and sends your car the same shift signals the factory paddles already send. A controller keeps the shifter and the car's current gear in sync. The car's transmission does the actual work of changing gears, so every shift behaves the way the car intends.

No. Your factory dual-clutch transmission stays exactly as it is. MockShift adds a gated shifter and controller that work with the transmission you already have. Nothing in the drivetrain is removed or replaced.
The install is reversible and does not cut into or reprogram your car's electronics. Because it comes out completely, you can return the car to stock at any time. As with any aftermarket product, check warranty specifics with your dealer.
Yes. You can switch back to full automatic mode anytime while driving by turning the shifter off. You can also remove the system completely if you want to reverse it to oem.
A clutch pedal is optional. MockShift supports a real clutch pedal in the footwell for the full three-pedal experience, or gated shifting on its own.

Reverse is selected by pulling up on R on the center console, the same way you normally would in the car.
Manual is a button. Press it to turn Manual on. To go back to automatic, pull up on D, or press the Manual button once to turn Manual off.
Top speed in a Corvette is not reached in 8th gear. For spirited driving in Manual, 8th is usually not needed. It is mainly useful for going fast on the highway in automatic or with paddles.
Put the car back into automatic by pulling up on D, or press the Manual button once to turn Manual off. You can also use the paddles to go into 8th.
The current setup is meant to feel seamless. You cannot leave the shifter in Neutral as an off position, because that engages Neutral. The unit has its own off behavior built in so you are not stuck relying on Neutral to shut it off. The 8th position is the off position.
